Price:
$330 includes course fee, course materials, GST and light refreshments (no lunch).

 

What:
These are the following modules to be covered:

1. Introduction to Volunteerism
2. Trends and Issues in Volunteerism
3. Investment in Volunteer Involvement
4. Managing Volunteer Involvement
5. The Role of Volunteer Managers
6. Supporting Volunteer Involvement in an Organization
7. Introduction to Volunteer Management Cycle

Time:
9 to 4 pm (1 hour lunch break - lunch is not provided)

 

Who:
The presenter is Wendy MacDonald, Curriculum Co-ordinator for the Executive Leadership in the Non-profit Sector program at MacEwan College and former chair of the Voluntary Sector Management Program at Grant MacEwan College.

***Participants must commit to all THREE days. You cannot register for only one day as each module builds upon the previous one.

Volunteer Edmonton

Volunteer Edmonton is a local nonprofit program dedicated to supporting volunteerism in the community.

Our goals are to:

• promote volunteerism;
• advocate good standards of practice for volunteer involvement; and
• facilitate collective action among organizations that support volunteerism.

It is through meeting these goals that Volunteer Edmonton will demonstrate leadership in volunteerism and facilitate sound stewardship of Edmonton’s volunteer resources.
